Thanks for taking a look at KrungStock.
Krung started as a way to deliver a reasonable priced skyline shot to clients. I figured it was easier to post a few and let them download versus emailing and negotiating a $200-$300 sale. It worked and now it is time to grow up.
Art directors want a choice in images and not the same old stock looking stuff. Photographers are looking for a place to sell images at a fair value when the clients do not have the budget for a shoot. Krung is the answer. New fresh images from an elite group of shooters. The site is young now, but interest is strong, so keep us in your radar.
Several users have asked about the name. Here is the story. I am at a Thai restaurant with a very talented, yet discriminating art director. He orders his food spicy hot and the waitress asks "hot?", he answers "Yes, Thai hot." obviously knowing what he is talking about. She smirks and brings the food which burns my eyes across the table. After completing the dish and clearly enjoying it, the cook, Mr Krung, comes out in amazement. From then on my friend has gone by the name Mr. Krung.
So why name the site "Krung"? It just sounds good.
More on the Thai version of the name, the mask and connections to Bangkok.
